Set up your tasting room
New wineries get live on Avero through the Go-Live Setup wizard at /onboarding. It walks you through everything needed to open the doors, auto-saves as you go, and is resumable — you don't have to finish in one sitting. Plan for about 20–30 minutes.
Before you begin
- Sign in as an Admin (the person who created the account).
- Have your business details handy: legal name, DBA, EIN/Tax ID, address, and hours.
- Have your bank routing and account numbers ready for payouts (Stripe).
The nine steps
- Company Profile — legal name, DBA, EIN/Tax ID, and primary contact.
- Brand Setup — public display name, description, and your URL slug.
- Location Setup — address, time zone, and phone. The time zone drives reservation slots and reporting — set it correctly here.
- Payments (Stripe Connect) — business details, beneficial owner, bank account, and your statement descriptor.
- Tax Configuration — TaxJar setup, nexus states, and permit IDs.
- Floor Plan — add your surfaces (tables/zones). Start from the sample template, then Clear sample data and add at least one real surface and table. For a detailed layout, use Open full Floor Plan editor (a yellow Return to setup banner brings you back).
- Team — invite staff and assign roles. See Invite your team.
- Wine Club (optional) — set up your first club, or skip and do it later.
- Review & Go Live — confirm everything and Go Live.
Ready lights
The Floor Plan step only shows Ready once you have at least one non-sample surface and one non-sample table. Sample rows don't count.
Time zone
Set your time zone in Step 3 before you take any bookings. Changing it after reservations exist can shift existing times.
What's next
- Invite your team — get staff into the right roles.
- Reservations & availability — open your book (remember: bookings are closed by default until you generate capacity).
- Get the Companion app — run the floor from a phone or tablet.
